Which is the best business system to choose?
There are many online business systems, and some of them are quite expensive. If you are so inclined, you can do your own research and find out which one will be fine-tuned for your specific needs.
I do this all the time. I evaluate what is available and learn about them so I can make sure I use the one(s) best suited for what I want to achieve. As a result, I can make a recommendation, so you do not need to be side-tracked into having to do this.
I use two business systems:
Kartra (one of the more expensive ones)
Systeme.io (the most affordable one)
I mostly use Kartra for legacy purposes, because most of my business functions now take place in systeme.io. This is crazy, because systeme.io is one of the most affordable business systems. So I scaled down my Kartra membership plan significantly and develop my new business processes and offerings on system.io.
This is NOT in the first instance to save money (for me), but it sure does. It is because I find system.io a better fit for my business and easier to work with. It is also more responsive in its new developments to the clients' input on what functionality is needed.
In fact, when you first start out, systeme.io IS FREE. Not just a free tiral - FREE!
Unless your online business is well established already, with a stable and significant income per year, I do not recommend that you use one of the more expensive business systems.
WHY NOT?
The cost of the business system you use becomes a fixed cost per year (or per month), and you want to minimise your fixed costs
You are unlikely to have complex online workflows and requirements for quite some time, so you can avoid paying a lot for functionality (like a professional help desk for instance) that you are not going to use
Technical experts who can support you charge more for supporting the more expensive business systems.
What do I recommend?
If you already use an online business system, and you are happy with it, then there is no need to make a change. But if you are using an expensive one, and the annual cost is too high, consider changing. And if you do not use an online business system currently then don't start with one of the more expensive ones.
I recommend system.io
It is easy to use, free to use (when you just start out), and has most of the functionality you need built into it already. It also easily integrates with any other systems you may want to use.
Most other business systems at best give you a free trial period. Systeme.io is free for as long as your business is small, and then you can upgrade as the volume of your email list (and other work processes) increase, So you can ELIMINATE the burden of a fixed cost for your online business system - and that is the singly most important factor to consider if you are just starting out.
My online business is well established with multiple offers and complex business processes. And I prefer systeme.io as my online business system.

I found that I signed up for systeme.io just to test it, and then PREFERRED it, so I migrated most of my business functions to systeme.io. I am no longer on the free version, but it is still much more affordable than Kartra! I plan to completely move away from Kartra over time.
